A Blast From The Past

This past weekend, I saw a friend I have known since the 4th grade. Doug grew up in the "big house on the hill" behind ours. The subdivision that we lived in had once been a turkey farm and the house he lived in was the main house. One of the funniest memories I have of Doug is him almost missing the bus on several occasions. He played baritone horn in band. For those who don't know, it's similar to the tuba. Well, you can image the size of the case the horn had. Doug would come running down the hill, books and case in hand as we all yelled "wait, here comes Doug".

Yea-Haw!!!

I'm done with school, for now! The finals were awful! I'm so glad they are over with. I don't think my brain could hold much more. I did make it to bed by 10 each night, which for me is excellent.

Tonight several of us are going out to celebrate that:
  1. Finals are over!
  2. We all passed and are still in class!
  3. Those of us going to Brazil get to skip one of the clinical rounds!

I am now able to Christmas shop, finally. I have bought all of two presents. I have yet to type out our Christmas letter, although it is all in my head, my attempt to take a family picture in front of the tree was less than successful and yet again this year, I will not be able to make my homemade Christmas cards.

On the upside, I can spend time with the kids, sleep in, read what I want and wear pajamas all day~wait, I already do that!

I wore pajamas to school Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The people on campus don't even look at me strangely anymore. We went out to lunch Monday and Tuesday after our tests and the places we went said I looked very comfortable. (I think it is probably code for "this chick is crazy".)

In the end, I ended up with four B's. NOT what I wanted but not bad for going to school and working full time.
