Well, I have been for a while.
Brazil was, next to the birth of my kids, the most awesome experience of my life. It's not something I will ever be able to put in to words. The things I shared with the others who went with me is something that will bond us together forever. I have put together a small slide show at slide.com. It is just a handful of the 400+ photos I took. It does not include the any the others took. Between all 13 of us, we have close to 2,000 photos I think. Did I mention I have about 90 minutes of video as well?
One fun highlight was when seven of us went to a club called NOX that is owned by Donatella Versace. Fabio, one of the people in charge of the group, is from Brazil. He has some connections, pulled some strings and we got in to the club as VIPs. Walked past the people waiting in line with fingers crossed in hopes of getting picked to go in. Were escorted to a table on the roof that was reserved for us, complete with a body guard named Bruno who would snap his fingers and make people leave our table when we came back from dancing!
I am going back next year when the nursing program goes. As an ALUMNI, I am able to go. That's right, I said an ALUMNI. I can't believe it is almost over. The amount of school work I have right now is unbelievable. I guess they are trying to see just how much more they can fit into our heads before they explode! I'm thinking not much more.
