As I said, Noelle wanted to try out for volleyball. She got the information from school on Friday. Well, come to find out, it was basically a "lets have everyone who has played since 4th grade try out against people who have never played to fill 10 or so spaces".
For whatever reason, Liberty is a big basketball town. Football is so-so and soccer is pretty popular. Volleyball ranks far down the line. Our parks and recs doesn't even offer it, (they will now in December). We spent 2 hours at try outs. We did find out that she can jump pretty high and is pretty good at it. They are supposed to call and let her know if she makes it, they will email if she doesn't. She says it's no big deal if she doesn't make it and that she'll play in December. Her actions say differently. Every bone in my body is wanting to chant "let her play or you will pay", but I guess I have to let what ever happens happen.
Meanwhile, at the building...
Sean and another guy Derek worked on tarring the roof and washing out the floor. I don't know how many containers of tar they used or how much degreaser, but it looks, and smells better. Tomorrow, we will sweep out what is left after the floor has dried and get rid of more trash. I'm planning on taking pictures tomorrow.
