What A Weekend!

It went by so fast!

Michael had a soccer game on Saturday. They had no extra players so everyone had to play with no breaks. They won. Michael had a great assist with one goal and if the bar had been just a tad bit higher, he would have had one on his own.

After the game, it was a mad dash to get Noelle's hair done. She had 5" cut off. It looks so pretty. The lady spent a lot of time on her hair. Now, for all the years Noelle was in dance, I would put gobs of goop on her hair, leave it in hot rollers until the last possible moment, spray more "extra strong hurricane proof" hair spray on her hair only to have it all be straight again by the second number. By the time the dance was over, most of her hair was straight. Noelle has a TON of thick hair. Sean has thick hair, but when it grows out, it has curl to it. I have some what thin hair that is naturally curly. At times, people have asked if I have a perm and then proceed to tell me how lucky I am to have hair like this. (they should have it on a humid day in July!)

Anyway, Sean and Noelle had a great time at the dance. They had their picture taken and Noelle was so happy that her daddy danced with her even though he really can't dance. He will be the first to admit it. They main thing is they both had a wonderful time and can't wait to do it again next year. They had a great dinner afterward and Noelle loved riding in "the beast".

Sunday was Michael's 10th birthday. I made him a cake that for some reason didn't rise like it should. I cried because "that's not how I wanted his cake to be", to which my wonderful husband said "it's ok, we'll just buy him a new one if it's that important to you". So, Michael had two birthday cakes. He had a wonderful family party and he received many wonderful gifts.

He has been wanting a soccer bag and he got that from grampa along with some X-Box games. Grampa's girlfriend Edna, (maker of wonderful foods) got him an X-Box game as well. The fantastic "Bee Movie" and a t-shirt that says "I'm Bad Meaning Good" from Amy, Jon and the boys. Mom and dad got him some hip clothes, a really cool kite and an X-Box game. Noelle got him a Neopet. Sean and I got him "The School of Rock", a remote control Jeep and I had a shirt made for him that says "Mommy's boy and PROUD of it".

He had two games on Sunday and lost both of them. They played hard and had fun. Next weekend they only have two games.
