My parents left Monday to take Noelle on her trip. While they have been gone, I've worked, dog sat, house sat, and been working on redoing Noelle's room. I have also been reminded by those traveling that I'm being a "bad blogger".
Noelle has NO idea what her room is going to look like. She knows that it will be painted and that she is getting new bedding. I was all excited about redoing her room, (I still am) but felt that twinge of "oh, she's no longer my little girl" as I peeled the last of her gingham wallpaper and puppy, kitten, bunny, and baby chick boarder off her walls.
She is 12 after all and should have more of a "big girl" room. (ugh, that hurt) We picked out the paint today and will be painting tomorrow as well as cleaning the carpet.
Noelle was asked before she left on her great adventure to clean her room. It is amazing the definition a 12 year old has of a "clean room". The nice part of redoing her room is that we have to take everything, (yes Noelle, everything) out to really do it the right way. Needless to say, the trash man will not be happy with us on Tuesday.
I have a feeling when she reads this, Noelle will be feeling the same feeling I used to feel when my parents would clean my room, which by the way was on my list of "I promise I will never do this to my kids"~oops!
