I have realized my mom has not posted, so I'm doing it for her.
Well this has happened at our house; my mommy, papa, Michael and I are leaving for South Dakota (sorry if it's spelled wrong) tomorrow. We are SO excited!!
I went to the shop with my daddy yesterday and I looked at what they cement people were doing. They have to put a sewer thing (i don't know what it's called) in the other building, but they can not get to it. They also have this thing that digs in the ground which I think is pretty cool.
Also my mommy has been working nights and I have been cleaning and doing chores and getting a HUGE allowance (it's huge to me.)
Wednesday night I had my friend Johnna spend the night. My brother,Johnna, and I were trying to stay up all night, but we only made it to about 3. We watched the "Simpson's Movie", and in case you were wondering how we managed to stay up that long 1 word: Kool-Aid. We drank lots of Kool-Aid and I made like 2 containers of it. ( we didn't wake up my daddy!)
Also it was raining so Johnna and I went outside to play in the rain because we had nothing better to do. My daddy didn't realize it until we were trying to go upstairs and then he said "turn on the light" because I had turned it off and so he got kinda mad.
The next morning all 3 of us, (my brother, Johnna, and I) went outside onto my trampoline and jumped on it in our swimsuits and put the hose on it.
Next week my mommy, Gee, and I are going to Iowa to go to a consignment store to go shopping. We went last year and had so much fun. I am looking forward to going again this year!!
Well that's all that is happening right now that i can think of.
Noelle :)
well, sometimes.
I'm going to ATTEMPT to post several times a month
I said attempt, not will.

Finally Posting Again
Yeah, I've been a little busy.
Last week, I worked four days, this week it was three.
Next week, I'm planning on working Monday through Thursday. The kids, dad and I leave Friday morning after I get off for South Dakota. We will be there until Sunday.
Then I'll work Monday through Thursday again and Mom, Noelle and I will head to Cedar Rapids to shop once again at the best consignment store ever!!
The three of us went last year and had a great time.
They have been pouring cement at the shop and hopefully, we will be able to get the final things done to be able to get open. We are tired of all of the "hoop jumping".

Haustus
Remember the 17 haustus that Amy gave me when we were over to their house for mother's day? Well, they all died!
Let me start off by saying that I inherited my mom's green thumb for the most part. However, when you husband has sprayed bug killer around the foundation to when you are having an ant problem, it stays in the soil and kills stuff.
I'm more than a little bit upset about this. Not only were they beyond healthy, but they looked so nice when we planted them. I'm hoping that we can fix the soil so that I can plant something else there.
On a side note, I scored a major deal on a deep freeze on my way home from work Thursday morning. We have deep freeze that we got as a wedding present and it works great. It was $4 and works!

Curls, Curls, Curls
It was slightly humid when I left for work tonight, (well last night, but for us "creatures of the night", it's still Tuesday)
Needless to say, my hair has been looking like I have just gotten a perm for the last few days.
Those of you with curly hair understand where I'm coming from. You can have your hair looking the best it has ever looked. The volume is perfect, it parts just the way you want, etc. You take one last look in the mirror and then it happens...you step outside.
In about 1.5 seconds, your hair has from "why can't it always look like this" to "standard poodle". All of a sudden, you have this explosion of hair on top of your head.
I can remember when this lady, Lois, used to cut my hair. People would ask her what size rods she used on my hair. When she would answer, "it's naturally this curly", they would reply "I wish my hair would do that".
Not so fast. While it is fun, at times, to have that "wild out of control" curly hair look, it fades fast when you are having to pick through the curly hair that for the most part has turned into about 25 groups of gigantic curls that as you attempt to pick them apart seem to be glued together.
For all of the curl I have, Noelle's hair is straight as a board. I would spend hours on her hair before dance recitals. I'd leave the hot rollers in her hair until all the girls had to line up and if we were lucky, the curls would still be there half way through the second number.
Friday night, Noelle, Amy and I are going to Starlight to see "High School Musical". (Noelle's birthday present from all of them). It's supposed to be really humid.
Let me just take a moment and say to those who will be sitting behind me, sorry if I'm blocking your view.

Garage Sale Finds
As I said earlier, we picked up a food saver at mom and dad's church garage sale. We also were able to pick up:
- a flat panel monitor for the kids computer
- two sets of hand held radios that can all be used on the same channel!
- a basket for Noelle's room
- a utility sink for the shop
- about 8 suit cases to be filled with donations for Haiti
I'm so glad we have connections to preview!
Lazy Days Of Summer
We had a great weekend and hope you did too.
I had worked Friday night, so of course, Saturday was pretty much a wasted day as I slept until about 5:30. We had invited my parents and Sean's dad and girlfriend over for dinner for Sunday.
Our whole dinner could be called "Dinner Ala Edna" as everything was made from her recipes! (we keep bugging her to come out with a cook book)
We had brisket, creamy corn, creamy mashed potatoes, potato salad and chocolate cake made from scratch. Of course it was all fat free~not!
Edna made the cake and I made all the rest. We have had Edna's brisket several times, and had wanted to make it ourselves, but with beef being as high as it is, we haven't done it. Price Chopper had a heck of a deal, so we couldn't pass it up.
We are hoping to find some great meat deals as we picked up a "like new" food vacuum sealer at my parents church garage sale today.
I'm working tonight, (on my dinner break~yum, carrots!) and Sean was supposed to try and seal some corn on the cob we got from his dad to make sure it really does work.

A Hard Day
Today, I gave away our swing set, yet another check on my "the kids are no longer children" list.
Being 12 and 10, they really didn't use it much. We bought a net to play badminton and volleyball a few weeks ago, so now we will have much more room.
We bought that swing set about nine years ago and it served us well. I listed it on Craigslist for free and had about five calls in 15 minutes.
Tonight, a three year old boy and his five year old sister will playing on their "new" swing set. Something their divorced mom, (whose ex doesn't pay child support) had been hoping to get them, but has been unable to do.
I'm very proud of myself, I only cried once!

Why is it when your nose is beyond stuffed up, you can smell a GI Bleed a mile away?
