It's Friday

Well, instead of hitting the road for home on Sunday, we are hitting the road for Myrtle Beach, South Carolina!!!

Mer and Lori have two condo's reserved, but will only need one. They asked us if we would like to go since it has been paid for and has to be used. After talking to Sean, he said, "go for it" so we are.

From what I understand, it is across the street from the ocean. This will be the first time Michael has seen it.

Today was the last day of VBS. No games today, but Rachel has one, maybe two tomorrow.

Off to hit the pool and later a show!!!

It's Thursday Already!?!

How can this be? Time is flying just too fast.

VBS has been a lot of fun. I'm helping with crafts again this year. Two days this week, we did "loud" craft. Monday we made "horns" out of the top of 2-liter bottles. Wednesday, we made "megaphones" out of the tops of milk jugs. Needless to say, there were some unhappy moms.

Noelle is taking part in a lock-in at the church with two of her cousins Saturday night, she is really looking forward to that.

Michael built a rocket and they will be launching them tomorrow. He is looking forward to that.

Papa will have to take note to build a rocket with him, that's something right up both their alleys.

Happy Tuesday!!!

The title of this blog is brought to you courtesy of Rachel.

Another day of VBS. Today was a quiet day as the kids made crowns, however, tomorrow will again be a noisy day due to the fact the kids will be making megaphones out of milk containers!

The weather has been nice here, Noelle and Michael have been able to swim everyday. Noelle has learned to dive! One of her goals was to be able to do that before we left, she can check that off. Michael's skin has had a bad flare up. Luckily our doctor was kind enough to call in two prescriptions for him at our Wal*Mart and I had them transferred here. He says it tastes like "crap". While I'm sure it does, in the long run, it will be worth it.

Off to soon watch another movie. I can't believe the week is going so fast.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the two favorite men in my life. I'm sorry I can't be there to celebrate with you.

Sean, you are a wonderful father and I am so happy to see how you are growing closer to the kids. You are setting a foundation that will benefit them not only now, but in the future.

Dad, I'm so glad we have the relationship we have. I know you may think I was a pain growing up, but I hope think it was worth it.

Havin' Fun

We continue to have fun here in Indiana. We have seen a couple of ball games, been to church, been to a cook out, watched several movies and saw Sarah hit in the head by a ball. (she is fine)

Thank the Lord, no panic attacks this year for Michael. He is having a BLAST!! He does not like change and I think that last year he really didn't know what to expect.

Noelle is really reconnecting with her cousins and I think is making plans to just move in here.

Tomorrow starts VBS. We had so much fun last year, I can't wait for this year.

We're Here

We arrived in Indiana last night about 10:30, (9:30 for us)

No panic attacks so far!!! We are here a few days early, so that is nice. We are able to spend some extra time, versus getting here, doing VBS and then leaving.

We all woke up this morning to two new puppies. The kids here raise teacup/toy poodles. In addition to the two new boys, they have two girls that are 9 weeks old. The two girls look just like Daisy.

Michael is swimming, Noelle is taking a shower and I'm getting ready to watch a movie. Oh, what a relaxing day!!

On The Road Again All Ready

I do have some photos of mine and Michael's Kentucky trip. We were in the mountians and had no phone coverage at night. When we did have coverage, we were so busy with what we were really there for, I didn't think to call. I would think about it on the drive back and would only have about 20 minutes before I had no coverage. (I think mom and dad got called twice, but I did talk to Sean and Noelle each day)

We had a wonderful time and Michael really felt good about helping others. The kids worked at a warehouse that is in the process of a major overhaul, scraped and painted the lower part of a house that a former homeless family will be moving into, hosted a VBS and fed the homeless at a shelter.

I, along with my new friend Millie, were in charge of the shelter. We provided dinner Monday-Thursday, supplied the kitchen with some much needed items and organized the kitchen as well. We had different kids working with us each day. The kids rotated through all the different areas.

The last day we were at the shelter, a family of six was arriving. Mom, her boyfriend, and four kids ages 12 to 11 months. They had been living in a tent for the previous three weeks. It was just a sad story.

I don't know if any one else saw the special that Diane Sawyer had done about the area there. It showed how Mountain Dew was consumed by many of the people in the area and how it affected their health. I have to say, I have never seen SO MUCH Mountain Dew in my whole life.

It is shelved very interestingly at Wal*Mart. (yes, I made it a mission to look at the display and yes I have photo's AND video of the display~I just couldn't believe it) It is not all together. They will have some in one place, have several other brands of pop and then have more Mountain Dew. I also never knew that there were so many different kinds, including caffeine free. I would like to know how that works since it has always appeared that it is nothing BUT caffeine. We don't allow the kids to drink it, (so don't let them pull one over on you, they know better)

I have so much to share about the trip and will soon. The kids and I are leaving in the morning for Indiana. We are heading out early so we will be able to spend some extra time hanging out and watching ball games.

Pray for safe travel and NO panic attacks for Michael. I'll be posting while we're there.

I better get to bed, I'm hoping to be on the road by 8 and still have stuff to do.

Hittin' The Road Part I

Michael and I leave Saturday for Kentucky with his Truth Seekers group from church. We will be going to the Appalachia Mountains. We will come back the following Saturday.

Pray that everyone on trip stays safe and healthy. The kids will be helping out with bible school, home improvements for someone in need and feeding the homeless.

I hope to have some great photos to share when I get back.

What Dog Sits Like This?!?! Ours...

I don't know when or why, but when ever Hydie is sitting in this chair by the window, she sits like this. I showed this photo to some one and he said, "well look at that, she's sittin' there like a people". Bad grammer I know, but you get the point.

2lbs 12oz

That's what little miss Daisy weighs. She went to the vet today for a well puppy check. She is super healthy. The vet thinks she may be 6-10 lbs. When she is four months, we can double her weight and that should be how big she'll be.

Oh, we are now one of "those" people...we dress our dog. I never thought we'd have a dog that we would put clothes on, but alas, we are. Miss Daisy has a dress and two shirts. One of those shirts is a "CARS" shirt.

Enjoy the photos. As you can see, she was hard at work.
