Yes, I know, I'm not always good at updating our blog. One can tell when life is "normal" for us because I have time to blog. (for the record, please note that the time is 1 am when I'm doing this)
My last update was Oscar night. Let me just pat myself on the back!! I saw all of the movies up for best picture with the exception of Precious. Not bad since I didn't decide to do that until the end of January. I had a wonderful time with my beautiful pregnant sister and got a ton of hugs and smooches from my favorite four year old twins.
Amy and I filled out our Oscar ballots, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, and plopped our butts down. I got 16/24. Not too bad.
As usual, we were in awe and ewe of some the dresses. For some of the women, I wondered if they looked in the mirror. I have to say, you have NO FRIENDS if someone lets you leave the house for one of the biggest nights in Hollywood wearing a dress that has what looks like cinnamon buns on your boobs. I don't care who you are, no one, and I mean NO ONE looks good in something like that.
Then there was the dress that Amy said looked like the woman "tried to poop a flower". I'm not really sure what Amy meant by that since the dress was purple and not brown, but hey, she's pregnant, so I let it slide.
In other news, it appears we have a new mechanic!! Since I don't want to jinx us, that's all I'll say for now. We've been selling cars and Sean's been using the paint booth. Word of mouth is finally taking off.
The kids are out of school this week for spring break, so that means spring cleaning!! Needless to say, they are ready to go back to school. We are getting ready to clean the carpet in the den, so everything but the piano has been moved into the kitchen. Moving all the stuff reminded me of when mom and dad would clean the carpet on Labor Day weekend. I always thought that was so much fun, now as an adult, I fail to see the fun.
I'm planning on taking the kids to the Liberty Memorial on Friday. I'm planning on taking pictures, so I should have some to post soon.
