Yes, I know, I'm the worst blogger...EVER!!!
Things have been going well for us. The kids are both enjoying school, yes, I said both. Michael is really liking school, which is very nice to say the least.
Noelle is becoming quite the social butterfly. It seems her weekends fill up fast, if you want to do something with her, you better put in your reservation well in advance. She also had a part in the school musical, "Bye Bye Birdie", playing the mayors wife. At one point, she had to faint and each night when she did, the audience would gasp! The day they did the group photo, Noelle decided to get a photo by herself for me as a surprise. I'll scan it and post it. She looks so grown up and beautiful, it makes me want to cry.
She is growing up so fast, it seems every time I blink, she has matured even more. There are so many times I've wished I could just stop time so that she would stay little forever. Those times seem to come more and more as I realize that if I blink much more, she will graduate and her life will truly begin.
Michael, like I said, is enjoying school this year. We are still working on helping him to focus in school. He has some good teachers this year which helps a lot. I sit with him sometimes when he does his homework and I can truly see how hard having ADD is. I can't imagine what that would be like. I'm able to read two or three books at the same time and am able to follow each one, Michael sometimes has to read the same page several times to understand the point.
That being said, he can listen to a song, then play it on his guitar, is able to create the most amazing songs and remember each note. Things I would never be able to do. He is thinking of taking part in the school talent show. I hope he is able to find confidence in himself and play the song he has written. I'll keep you posted.
Things at the shop are just nuts, but in a good way. It looks like we will sell 80 cars this year! Last year, our first year, we sold 56. Sean is staying busy with body work and not just on cars he is buying~yeah! Noel, our mechanic, is staying busy as well. Just the other day, Sean made the comment that this time last year, he could be away from the shop and it the phone wouldn't ring and no one would come by. Now, he can't be gone for 10 minutes without his phone ringing or someone saying they are at the shop and need an estimate.
We have poured more concrete and now have both sides of the billboard that is on the property. Having the extra concrete allows us to park cars next to the sign and that seems to be bringing more people in. The city didn't even hassle us about it, we didn't ask any questions.
I've been working some with a new agency and up at the shop. I'm still studying and I know that everything will fall into place when the time is right.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Amy's. I'm so glad that we all live close. What a blessing it is to be able to pick up the phone, call Amy or mom and dad and see them when I need to. It's exciting to see my kids play with their cousins. To know that soon the holidays and trips to the lake will be even more fun when Devin figures out that his legs can take him places and there are five kids running around.
Thinking back to Thanksgiving, I think my favorite moment of the day was when I caught a glimpse of mom and dad. They were sitting in the kitchen as we were eating and I saw both of them looking at their grandchildren. As I took in that moment, I couldn't help but think, look at love that fills this room because of the the two of them.
What started off as two, became four. The love that family of four had became six as Amy and I married two wonderful men. Now, what started as a family of two has grown to a family of 11 full of love.
