Holy cow did the flu hit our house.
It appears that one of Michael's friends thought it should be shared. Michael came home from school Friday the 4th with a 99.5 fever. By that night, it was 102.7. Saturday, and $253.07 later, we were all on Tamiflu.
Michael was home sick from school the whole next week, Noelle missed 2 1/2 days of school and I missed 2 1/2 days of work. Sean was the only one who managed to stay well.
For what ever reason, I decided that having the flu wasn't enough and decided it would be "fun" to have diverticulitis. So much for eating out on Valentines Day, I'm "enjoying" Jell-O, broth and Sprite with Hawaiian Punch. I have to say, I never realized just how many food/restaurant commercials there are! Luckily, there are four doctors on vacation at the office I've been working at, and they do not need me this week. To say this is painful is putting it mildly, I would spill secrets if I had any.
I have three movies left to watch before the Oscars; "127 Hours", "The Fighter" and "True Grit". Mom and I saw "The Kings Speech" and we both really liked it. I rented "The Kids Are Alright", but I just couldn't get in to it. It would be nice if the those last three were on video since I'm home sick.
