The first game ended in a tie. If I haven't mentioned it before, Paul, Michael's coach is from Ireland. I could just stand and listen to him talk forever! It was funny to hear him say with an "Irish Brogue" things like:
- "Michael, you're playing midfield now son"
- "Oh, me heavens, we need to talk about building a wall"
- "Don't all go over there now, oh, your off sides now aren't ya"
- "Ref, you need to get your head out your arse"
Sean, Jerry, dad and I were all giggling with each thing he said. He is so encouraging to the boys. (Noelle was sitting in the car, reading a book, keeping warm)
Not only that, but I think that it's kind of funny that the sport they call "football" is as meaning full to some of them as our "football" is to some of us.
