There were no games to attend Wednesday so it was movie night, as it has been most nights.
- Thursday Daniel had a game. They lost, coming in second for the season. He was up set with how it went and wasn't happy with his pitching. I explained to him that the pitcher can't get up there and strike every batter out, the players behind him should be catching pop flies running to the ground balls, not wait for them to roll to them. He said he didn't want the trophy and I said he should keep it because years from now, he will be glad he did. I reminded him that even though in this moment it stinks, there is a last place team that would like to have a second place trophy. There were several bad calls and the umps strike zone changed with just about every other pitch. I don't know, maybe I'm a little biased.
- Thursday night Isaiah had a game, not enough of their players showed up and the other team wouldn't let them forfeit. So they only had seven players to play and started each at bat with an automatic out. I'm not sure if that game counted or not.
- Friday, Sarah, Rachael, and Isaiah went to something called "Safe Sitter" and the rest of us, except Michaela had our last day of VBS. I can't believe it is almost time for us to go home. We of course miss Sean very much, but we have been having a fantastically, wonderful time. (Michael enjoys himself once I drug him up~I'm hoping this is something that goes away when we get home and I can talk to him a little more about it) Later that night Isaiah had a game. Two minutes before we got there, the other coach called Mer to let him know that they would only have seven players. This time, the other team let them forfeit, let Isaiah's team borrow one of their players, and played the game. They won, but it doesn't count, but hey, they got a good practice in.
- Saturday, Faith and Shana have a game in the morning. After I see that game, I will officially have seen everyone who plays baseball or softball play. Sarah and Rachael have a late afternoon game. They are playing the team I saw them beat the other day. This team had beaten them in the past and so their team was shocked they won. The girls want me to wear the same clothes and sit in the same area I did the other day.
